Porzućmy już australijskie klimaty i wrócmy na rodzimy kontynent. Do Bukaresztu wybrałam się podczas mojego stażu w Brukseli (świetna baza wypadowa, chyba nawet lepsza niż Paryż) - była połowa października, ale pogoda w Rumunii przypomniała mi jak wygląda prawdziwa jesień - zimna i deszczowa! Mimo wszystko bawiłam się świetnie. Wprawdzie znajomi Rumunii mówili mi, że Bukareszt jest chyba najbrzydszym miejscem, jakie można zwiedzić w kraju, ale podobał mi się jego klimat. Wraz ze znajomymi skoncentrowaliśmy się na bardzo tanim i smacznym jedzeniu (bo padało i w sumie nie wiedzieliśmy, co zwiedzać) - kuchnia rumuńska jest jak ten język - trochę od Słowian, ale największy wpływ z basenu Morza Śródziemnego.
Parlament jest obowiązkowym punktem do zobaczenia, nawet jeśli większość Rumunów go nienawidzi, a może bardziej tego, że przypomina im o mrocznych i nie tak odległych czasach dyktatury.
Najlepszy punkt programu? Wizyta w księgarni Carrousel, gdzie za grosze można kupić książki po angielsku. Tylko nie zapomnijcie, że bagaż ma limitowaną objętość :)
Let's abandon Australia and get back to the home continent - Europe. I went to Bucharest during my internship in Brussels (very good place to plan other trips around Europe, better than Paris I think). It was middle of October but the weather in Romania reminded me how a true autumn looked like! It was cold and rainy. Notwithstanding the weather, I still had a lot of fun! The friends from Romania were telling that Bucharest is not the best place to visit but I loved the atmosphere over there. Me and my friends focused on the food - very cheap and delicious, it was raining so eating seemed to be the best option! The Romanian cuisine is a little bit as the Romanian lunggage - some slavic influence but most of it coming from the Mediterranean Sea.
The parliament is a must-see even if most of Romanians hate this building or rather what it represents - the dark times of dictatorship.
The best part of the trip? Going to the Carrousel bookshop where books in English are crazy cheap! Just don't forget that your luggage is limited! :)
